I am now the proud owner of a 40D. Lovely!

Playing with it this evening, I find a key difference from the trusty 350D - on the old camera, I used a shutter release cable supplied by Shoestring to connect to the PC via a USB port. It cost me about $15.00.

But the 40D has a different connection - looking at the Shoestring website, it seems the cable + connection box will cost me close to US$90.00. Is this right? How else do you control bulb shots from the pc? Previously I used Images Plus.

Any suggestions would be welcome
