Yesterday, clear all day perfect evening, crystal clear no wind, dew etc, all ready to go at 11 pm, beauty, fire up the camera, and were off, yep you guessed it, large ban of cloud cover from the South East. 
I wait for an hour for it to clear, not on your life, clouded out all night.

That's exactly what occurs here in cloudy old Melbourne almost every night. Probably shaved a year or two off my life from the rage it causes
Now tonight I'm making an 80km trip each way to a dark sky site - if it clouds over just after I arrive, there'll be HELL TO PAY
