What a great Image!

Hi Steven,

I have always been impressed with astrophotographers that go after lesser known objects, especially in the far south! There are a few great examples of this on your website! If anyone hasn't seen Steven's website, check it out!
From the image of your observatory it looks like you have an ideal site. Can I ask where it is? (Just nearest town, nothing specific)

I first saw this galaxy through an 8° Newtonian under dark skies. I was surprised that visually it has 2 distinct components, the main bar and the bright arm section (right side of your image). It really had me going for a while but unfortunately Comet Dawes was not to be!

Regards

Glenn
