Hi Arthur,

The RJ10 is the small plug that most Phone handsets use. (4P4C).
The RJ11 & 12 are larger.

Some suppliers call the 4P4C an RJ11, so you need to check that it is a 4P4C when buying.

RJ11 and RJ12 are the connections to the phone line (From the wall socket).
RJ11 has positions for 6 connections, but only uses 4 (6P4C)
RJ12 is the same size, by uses all 6. 6P6C)

See here: (Midway down)

I have some here at work, if you have problems obtaining them.
Can't find any in the Dick Smith catledog.
May be able to make up a cable for you?

Regards
Paul.

I think the wiring diagram is available and says it's a 4p4c to 4p4c with 1->1,2->2;3->3 and 4->4 (sounds to easy).

Do you think the RJ10s and 11s are interchangeable?
