I find all comets either appear green (if gassy) or yellow if dusty. I think the gas emmissions are emissionline mostly and probably is "seen" my mostly only the green pixels in the camera. Most other comets also appear the same colour except the dusty ones like the great comet Mnaught of 07 and Comet Holmes.
In the days of film, the gas emmissions of comets always appeared blue on the Kodak print films I used to use.
No I havent got a dec motor, though ive toyed with the idia of putting some sort of small motor and gearbox onto the dec adjuster.
