I have found that book you mentioned, available online through Amazon Books. Hopefully it will still be available when I have the means to buy it. Thanks for your detailed reply, I don’t have time just yet but I have a few questions I will ask tomorrow after I read a little more on the subject. I understand a little more now after having read your reply.
For now I am getting ready to grab my bino’s and head out of town for some casual star gazing. I seem happy enough to just scan the sky and just look up in amazement. What I lack in the ability to crunch numbers and so forth, I seem to make up for in a deep inner feeling that lets me know, when I have something special in my sights. It’s a bit hard to explain, but I sure do appreciate how beautiful and wondrous the night sky is. I love the science of it all and understanding the basic principles...many of which you have already mentioned helps me to enjoy it so much more.
