My 3rd attempt at Saturn 25/01/2008

Hi All,

Just sharing my thrid attempt at Saturn

Got the frame rate on the webcam down to 5fps this time (as suggested by Matt) and got the exposure to 1/33s.

Seeing was attrocious in Brisbane early in the night, but at about 2am a cold front moved through and when the cloud cleared afterwards I was able to get this image.

I think this one is slightly better than my second attempt

Celestron C8 with 2x Ultima barlow for 4000mm focal length;
Philips SPC900NC webcam at 5fps, 1/33s exposure;
Stacked 500 of 1000 frame in Registax;
Wavelet and final processing in Registax.

Have fun,
Doug
