I'd like to show you some pictures of our new dog, "Major".
We originally were looking at getting a Labrador or a Staffie, but Gregs brother turned up on Sunday and presented us with this one.
He is the last of a litter, the rest starved to death. Major himself was a walking skeleton when Jimmy picked him up.
He's about 4 1/2 months old I think.
The kids love him.
He's a quick learner too. The kids taught him to "Sit" and "Lie Down". And would have taught him more, but we told them to just practice these 2 commands for now. Next week he can learn more.
Breed wise I'd say he's German Shepherd + Red Cattle Dog crossed with a big brown dog, possibly a Ridgeback or Wingeing Pirhana.
If anyone has further suggestions as to breed, let me know.
Not what I'd personally get for a family dog, but if he trains well and is very obedient, he has a home here.
The cat is not impressed, she is teaching him not to come into the house.
