,but finally on Saturday night the skys stayed clear
.
I deceided to first polar align using the polar scope since I recently discoverded where Sigma Octans resides after a trip to some nice dark skys but only armed with a pair of binoculars.
It worked well but after a frustrating time with RA drift while trying to image the Keyhole Nebula I turned my attention to Saturn,must get a guide scope
.
Anyway Saturn was jumping all over the screen with the 5x power mate but I still went ahead and I am glad that I did.
By around 2a.m. the seeing improved to around 5 and on the computer screen I could just make out the division in the rings.
