Exclamation The Planets - 2007: A Pictorial Review

Hi all

In an ongoing tradition, I've made a composite of the best planetary images I captured during 2007.

The Planets - 2007: A Pictorial Review (1.3mb jpeg - be sure to expand the image if your browser resizes it)

All images were captured with my 12" newt on EQ6, with DMK21AF04, 5x powermate, Atik manual filter wheel and Astronomik RGB filters.

I'm disappointed I didn't make any effort to capture Mercury or Neptune, but in 2008 i'll definitely be doing so.

When compared with my 2005 and 2006 compositions, I'm very pleased with the improvement over the last 12 months, thanks to a better telescope and mount, and better knowledge in capturing and processing.

I'm looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that 2008 will bring, especially with another great season of Jupiter coming up!

Thanks for looking, comments welcome.
