I occasionally wonder whether all this stuff is blown out of proportion just to bring a sense of theatre and excitement to a sport (Test match cricket) which for many has began to lose its lustre in recent times?
If we could just get back to having genuinely competitive and exciting Test matches more frequently...the journos would have to focus more on the cricket than the sideline shenanigans
