Tuesday night in Melbourne
I set up in the back yard Tuesday evening. The sky was clear but light polution was pretty bad. I could very faintly see the Sculptor Galaxy with my C8.
Anyway, My daughter pointed out a satelite moving overhead. I was surprised to see 3 satelites moving at almost the same speed, & very close to each other.
The first 2 were very close together. 1 only being a few arc secs or so behind the other & on the lower side of the 1st.
The 3rd satelite was about double the first distance behind the 2nd & a fair bit off to the lower side of the 1st.
The first 2 were travelling at identical speed with the third only slightly slower & ever so slowly trailing behind.
All 3 were following the same arc across the sky.
I've never seen satellites so close to eachother before.
