I know what you mean Eric. I walked outside at about 9:00 pm and it was crystal clear
(very twinkly though) I had a great time with the 10x50 binocs for a while. Comet Holmes
M33 - really really clear (M31 was behind some trees
), M42, 46, 45, NGC253, 55, 300, 2070, 104, 2516, 3372, ....you know all the old bino favs.
A great night for a quick peek. Might have to look at getting myself a Dob for these nights I think
