FRom what I've read Ken they are very stable.Extremely thin atmosphere with very little turbulance, almost lamina like flow conditions. Its not so much the turbulance that has to be dealt with it the speed at which they move laterally. but if they can image from a satelliet moving at a few thousand Km/sec then a couple of hundred k/s shouldn't be too much of an issue
