mars observing
hello all
i had a quick look at mars this morning at about 5.00 am local time
wasnt that impressed all i managed to see was a bright circular planet couldnt really get it in focus with the 15mm plossl at 100x mag (also tried it with 2x barlow 15mm plossl even worse) even tried the 32mm gso not good
saw those lovely four long spikes coming from the planet plus a tail ect ect so it looks like iam gonna have to rip the mirrors out to check for pinching? (not really looking foward to that ) and yes ive made a copy of the how to's for the mirrors from IIS
so ill have to see how i go on stripping and putting it back together
worst thing that can happen is iam gonna wind up with spare parts
