Mosquito Killers

My better half was looking around for a good mosquito killer for our impending xmas BBQ and he came across what seemed to be the answer to my mozzie worries: a mosquito repellant that you wear on your wrist! At the moment, I use aeroguard, but that can get slimy and soil all the precious coatings on eyepieces and whatnot. This little device seems ingenius as there is no slathering on of toxic chemicals and the bugs will apparently stay away for miles.

Does anyone know if these things really work? I have been trying to find a way to get rid of these buggers for ages and I really don't like using sprays and creams. These critters are the bane of my observing sessions, as I'm sure it is for a lot of others. If anyone has any advice, let me know! Thanks in advance
