Well, we're narrowing it down. We've isolated one firewire cable that was causing problems. The camera is working fine on the Vista laptop.
Now we have a more isolated problem on Matt's laptop. It works fine when the laptop is plugged into mains power, but as soon as it's running on battery power IC Capture launches extremely slowly and the capture freezes.
I'm surprised this would impact since I thought the camera was running off the powered hub. Still, I'm fiddling with the power management settings now to see if they make a difference.
