I have to study meteorology
There was a wide band of cloud that looked like it was approaching the observing site and would put an early stop to things. I looked again later and it hadnt moved, later again it had dispersed , very strange !
Its always a gamble when theres any cloud about and this time I stayed home and missed what sounded like a great nights observing
So many times I have packed my gear into the car, gone for the long drive only for the clouds to roll in 30 min after setting up.
