Hi Gazz.
Most of the objects we include are suitable for small scopes, to ensure everyone can participate. You can tell by the magnitude how faint it will be - anything mag 5 and higher will be naked eye visibility under dark skies (for open clusters, for example). Mag 8 is much fainter and would need a telescope or large binoculars.
We'll take your suggestion onboard though and see if we can clarify it more in the descriptions.
