Tonight I found the following software Stellarium

Personally I use Jupiter2

Cartes de Ceil

The first piece of software I used and and sometimes still use is Skychart Demo III

Google earth has a recently new feature google sky

I am sure that there are many more free software packages that iceinspace members use. Perhaps a list may someday be posted on the site with hyperlinks.
Also Astronomy 2008 is a great read. Now if only th esky would clear.
