they'll never adjust brightness in OE's for outbursts - and projected brighness/faintness mag numbers for comets are never to be taken very seriously in Planetarium programs or ephemerides - ever
its just a rough indicator normally, you have visit places like here, or current obs/comet pages/groups for that - or just look at them visually yourself failing that i guess
