just a little maths here:
Minimum magnification = Apature / 8, so 250(ish)/8 = 32(ish)
Magnification = focal length / eye piece length, so 1250/40 = 32(ish)
The general opinion I read is it's not worth using the minimum magnification, where as with that 30mm eye piece, 1250/30 = 42(ish) so would maybe be a better eye piece, unless you were trying to get a large FOV and less magnification.
p.s. I bought the second last 30mm andrews eye piece (or that's what he said as he packaged it up whilest I was on phone with him.
