M42 up close

Hi all again,

I took this image 2 nights ago early in the morning.. the seeing looked great on setup but when viewing at high power I found out it wasn`t ideal more like average..but I wanted to try something different and image with a 2x teleconverter to get up and close to the core of M42 and had a good hour before dawn so I gave it a shot.
Well my poor old teleconverter wasn`t really up to the job with alot of flare/abberations around the edges of the image and the seeing softened the stars quiet a bit but overall I don`t thing its too bad. I would love to try this again with ideal seeing and a good 2x like a canon one!

Image is a combination of images from 15 seconds up to 3 min with a total of nearly a hours exposure..Stacked in DSS then each stack layered in PS with some feathering, brightness and contrast and color balance. Image has been heavily cropped to just the center part!
Well I had some fun anyways!..
All comments most welcome!!!....
cheers Gary
