That's a great version of 253. I like the miriad of background galaxies you have showing.

It's amazing how many different ways a familiar object can be represented. Someone on another forum seems to think that imaging the same bright objects over and over again is somehow boring..?..I don't agree with him, every time we do it (usually once a year) the result is different and usually better

Mike
Hey there Mike,
I agree, every year it's hard not to go for the brighter ones and also to compare our progress from what we were using the year before.

I know exactly who you are referring to... I find the statement a little boorish as I find that group, real bloody boring with their light curves and negative sentiments towards those of us who like to just image the night sky.
If only they'd realise that it was the pretty pictures that got them going in the first place and not to mention how many young folk who are amazed at astro images and want only to learn more....
Any way, you'd think these guys had PHD's and Doctorates in astro physics the way they wield their false sense of superiority.

That aside, I need a bigger chip.... the HX9's letting the high res show down now... might see how I go in the next couple of months.
Cheers for now

Thanks very much Mike. Hard to get some times when the sky is so fickle.

Can I ask how the protostar blacklight tube work out for you as I am thinking of getting one soon?
cheers Gary
Hi Gaz, cheers mate!
I went for the joining tube which is just that bit larger in dia. than the largest dia of 295mm as it suited my purposes better. As much as Bryon Greer pointed out to me that I would not experience any flex with the tube, when it arrived I decided to epoxy resin and cloth the out side of the tube just for my own satisfaction. It worked out very well.. strong and light.
If your interested, my friend has just made a ply wood tube which is really excellent. Super tough, rigid and I think will be a real performer.
Here's a link to what he did...
