Josh, I went through all the same questions a few months back as you are doing now.
I asked opinions between an EQ5 with Vixen Goto and a HEQ5 with Synscan.
Many people replied with lots and lots of help.
The final result: I got an EQ6 and haven't looked back. Loads get heavy when adding cameras etc
