also.. there seems to be alot of VERY knowledgable types in the forums. Why not move the how-to's to their own dedicated forum. There members(if they choose to) can share their knowledge in the once place and the site could eventually build up quite a resource of member maintained information, kinda like austech have done with their sat stuff, casue there really isn't any other national amatuer forum like this

Hey el. The how-to's are found at the IceInSpace How-to's page. The aim is for the IceInSpace site to be a repository for all types of resources and info, such as reviews, how-to's, DIY projects etc. It's just a matter of getting more people to submit them!

Hi Mike. I think I would like to see the equipment discussions sub-catagorized....ie: reflector/refractor/cats/motor drives etc etc....& a collimation catagory.

Thanks for the feedback John. So far, i've avoided sub-categorising the equipment forums because there simply hasn't been the member base to support it.. As we grow bigger though, it will certainly be something we'll look at.

I think the next forum category would be for ATM (Amateur Telescope Making), for discussions about making telescopes, DIY and how-to stuff, observatory building, etc. Anyone else think this would be useful to separate from Equipment Discussions?

how about an seperate place for solar pictures ect ect?

Solar pics are part of the Solar System, so they belong in the Solar System imaging forum There's not too many people taking solar pics or discussing solar activity to warrant a separate forum.. sorry John
