I too can vouch for the UO HD's I got the 18mm, 12mm, 9mm, 7mm on John's recommendation and have been very happy with them. The 18mm & 12mm are good for dso's too! But alas I too have sucumbed to the seduction of the XW and my collection of them is building
Actually in certain atmospheric conditions I have found the UO HD's to be a better performer than the XW's (only very slightly) but this could be due to the HD's impressive light transmission. I know I'll end up leaning on the XW's eventually and the HD's wont get a look in as they are plainly to different ep's. But I dont think I will be selling mine either, I still use them. The 9mm tell me whether to bother getting the XW's out lol. If my 4 yr old son who looks like he's keen on the hobby takes it up. The UO HD's will be a great set of ep's for him as well as the GSO 30mm SV after I swap it out for a 31mm t5 lol. pitty you wont seperate as I could of been interested in the 5mm & 6mm to complete my collection.
regards, CS
PS: John, I acquired the 3.5 XW on Friday, It's obviously a clear sky ep. Man! this one delivers impressive views too! and _bright_!!!!!
