That's interesting because ages ago the scuttleutt was all about GSO's own version being a truss tube dob exactly as you described, and speculation about how rigid that kind of construction would be.
Somewhere along the way then the talk changed and a solid tube OTA was being mooted, possibly this confusion was helped by the stand-in image on GSO's website.
Must say I'm more than a little interested to see how this unit looks and performs.
