Here's my (poor) attempt at Thor's helmet-canon 300d, 8 inch newt
I took 27 minutes of images but had to discard 9 minutes because IRIS for some reason wouldnt stack
Each image had to be curtailed to 3 minutes because of sky glow problems-the object was really too low in the sky
The blue nebulosity is consistent with other images of this object on the net-it seems H alpha is what brings out the superb detail that eddie has posted.
Anyway I had a go, that's about all that can be said. This is one tough target.
I stacked the images using IRIS for the first time, so a bit of learning there
