Well, I finally ran out of luck after 10 nights, which was a pretty good run!
Here's the final animation - the registration still isn't perfect but the best I can do with the proggies I've got

The little dots 'attached' to Jupiter in most frames are moons. Jupiter is well & truly burnt out at 8-sec exposures of course. Interesting to see the movement in Jupiter too.
