I had a similar problem with a USB hub, If I unlpugged the cameras and then plugged them in again while the computer was running, the computer would insist on loading the drivers for the camera, despite the fact I had plugged them back into the same hole in the hub, Now to cut a long story short, that hub died of unnatural causes, the new powered belkin doesnt care if I unplug something and plug it in again. Ill be watching this thread too , may learn something from the IT gurus...
