I can't answer for certain monoxide, but I'm think it supposed to go into the hand controller. I don't think the HEQ5 has an autoguide port on the mount itself..at least, I'm told the one I'm buying doesn't.
Note: The one I'm buying is the basic mount + tripod..not Go-To version.
