We speak a reasonable version of English here but dont hesitate to ask if a word pops up not in your dictionary it may be an Australian word..

You would love our sky... I have had a 45 minute widefield exposure and it was not even hinting of any light problem... but I am in a darker spot than many ...
I also live in a forrest..on a 200acre bush block surrounded by the state forrest... but with no one nearby... one neighbour at the moment about one klm. away but we have no grid power so if there are any lights on at his place it is only one 12vlt... I am30 klms out of town that has only 15 street lights and less houses... the Milky way can be seen in detail and the galactic center passes over head which I think is neat.

Man alive!
It sounds pretty good.I think you would like the German sky, too.Well, I just have to go out of home.Than, I stand on a untraveled street. There I set up my equipment. I know, asphalt doesn't be the ideal background.
Mostly I have a 6,5mag sky.And I can sometimes catch the milky way very clear.Besides there are less lights and my home town is far away. So, I am very pleased with my location.
But once I want to see the LMC as well the SMC.
Ok, see you!
greetings
