ok.. don't wanna sound like a 'gimme' here..
but is there any chance of more 'beginner' orientated stuff. Like a more 'comprehensive' source. I know first hand that you can spend hours searching the web for an answer to a question you may have, and each website gives you another piece to the puzzle of your question. I know you can truly never cover EVERYTHING.. but the common things that noobs looks for, and in basic terms. Like there's lots of websites out there to explain the differences in telescope designs, but seldom explain in simple terms 'you'd be able to see something like this well, but have no hope of seeing something like this with this scope', i'm not asking for jargon free.. cause we all have to learn the jargon.. but i dunno.. a bit more newb friendly. it'll also provide another avenue for the "get the 8" dob" brigade
also.. there seems to be alot of VERY knowledgable types in the forums. Why not move the how-to's to their own dedicated forum. There members(if they choose to) can share their knowledge in the once place and the site could eventually build up quite a resource of member maintained information, kinda like austech have done with their sat stuff, casue there really isn't any other national amatuer forum like this.
just some ideas..
