Hi asimov. The main reason that I have a Cheshire is that, after I have done any maintenance or repairs to my t'scope that required the removal of the main cell/2ndary etc, I can check the collimation very SLOWLY/ACCURATELY, using the Cheshire while indoors.(warm & dry). Final 'Star testing' is then done later.(COLD & damp).
