I'm not sure what is involved in a dome, but I would expect it to be more than $1500 (my 2.1x2.4 ROR obs will set me back around $2k+ on materials not including pier/foundations)....
It would be hard to think of a price without seeing some sort of plan, and knowing what materials it was made of....
