I'm not quite sure what you mean by the azimuth and altitude directions.
Can you start by posting an explanation/pictures of how you are driving your dob?

Really, you just need it to track in RA (like most equatorial mounts/platforms). If it's a setup similar to a "dob-driver" or servocat, then I guess you'll need adjustments in both altitude/azumith to keep the object centered.

I guess your question is more about the tracking of your drive setup, rather than an imaging question per se. What do you see visually through the eyepiece? How long does the object stay in the one spot? Does it always drift in the one direction?
