While in Europe recently, I snapped these pics of Venus framed by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, The London Eye & at picturesque Murten in Switzerland. Also was a big buzz to see Polaris,the Big Dipper & Cassiopeia as well. The latter 2 being as easily recognisable as the Southern Cross & the Pointers.
All pics taken with a pair of Nikon D200's with 2 zoom lenses: a nikkor 17-55 f2.8 & a nikkor 80-200 f2.8
