Well I can see the Northern sky from my bed. My favorite time is the summer nights when the moon is full as it is low enough to see it with binoculars. As long as the light comes in at right angles (near to it), the glass offers little effect from dispersion. Below the northern limit of the ecliptic, our palm trees cut out the view a bit.
