Hi all,

I am still waiting to visit teh MPAS to discuss telescopes and to look through a range of telescopes prior to purhase but assume that I will probably buy an 8" or 10" dobsonian.

But, getting way ahead of myself here-
what are people's thoughts on the Orion Skyquest Intelliscopes when it comes to tracking and astrophotography? Would I still only be be able to take photos of planets, as is usual for dobsonian-mounted telescopes? Or will the computer controlled tracking allow for the chance to take photos of DSO's, as well, with multiple short exposures?

Would it be safe to also say the Argo Navis + ServoCAT equipment would be similar but more expensive but better?

Just getting as much info as I can before spending my money.
