Hey Alex I bet you feel better now.
Politics is not about doing the right thing by the people for goodness sake... you have fallen for their tales telling that is their game. Politics is about playing to the vested interests and the vested interest of what is good long term falls to the low side.
Education is now an export... not good for the young folk coming thru one would think on the one hand but at least seeing they make money we can expect more Universities...
Still there are plenty of good jobs for those who dont want to go to University at Makkas and Hungry Jacks... but the trades no one cares about the trades unless it can generate political capital.
Feel happy they have not pulled any wool over your eyes.
