figured it out! Wow, three days of tinkering and many hours of trials. I will charge anyone 10 dollars for my secrets.
Just kidding, I am a shrewd businessman, but not that shrewd. I am going to take it apart, go to a makeshift, 'dustless room', clean off fingerprints, take some pics and I'll post them later, and then get this thing back together. When I figured it out it seemed very obvious, but it took some thinking.
