Thanks comments Gary.

Ahh, I’m sure it can be “topped” as there is always room for improvement.

Cheers Adrian.

Pleased you find it inspirational. My goal is not to simply take images, but give them depth and a level of amazement or uniqueness. Unfortunately this is easier said than done, but I’m working on it. Bit of a cliché, but it’s not about what equipment and software you have, it’s about how you use it.

You have given me evil ideas now, not to mention more variables.
Very nice result by the way.It is hard enough to get decent data of that object in Halpha. I also bet that it is not the final version. This imaging is a bit like golf you are really only trying to get better at it and winning is less important.

Thanks Bert.

It’s all about knowing the image processing tools and when to use them. Experimenting with different methods presents a worthy challenge (as displayed here). As a fellow Registar user I look forward to seeing what you’ll come up with. Data scaling opens up many possibilities if you like a challenge. Nice analogy too – there is an every shifting finishing line so ultimately there are no winners!
