Thanks everyone for the help, advice and encouragement.
I am not trying to make excuses for me rather than point out to anyone thinking of having a go how much fun they can have with something they may already own..many folk have the canon twin pak and that with a basic eq mount can get these... needless to say most should be able to do better because they most certainly will manage to process better.. I play with the dials and pick something after 50 attempts approach..but I like the arty side so some gallaxies end up with a couple of super nova bursts and resolvable planets.
I have found a fairly good m7 at 400iso and although a single frame I will see if I can come up with the right color.
