Amazing! Andromeda in Infrared!
Incredible image of Andromeda in IR on APOD today.

The red in the image is showing the gas and dust lanes, being heated by the young hot stars in the arms of the galaxy. The older, red stars (red giants) show up in blue in this image.

Amazing!
