Very impressive work Richardo!

NGC6744 is exceptional. The spiral arms exhibit great structure with subtle pink HII regions present. There is quite a few background galaxies present. I would have imagined the galaxy nucleus as being a little brighter and colours richer but that’s just a matter of opinion. Marvellous stuff.

M16 is looking good, despite the notorious pink hues common with HaRGB blends. How did you combine the data – Did you first blend the Ha at 50%, then manage the colours before finally introducing the Ha at 100% or did you first blend the Ha data into the R channel to make an HaR blend, then colour combining(then optionally adding the Ha as the luminance)?

With only 24mins per colour channel it’s going to be tough to balance the contrast of 117mins of Ha data (vast contrast differences). You can stretch the colour data you’ve got, but only so far before it introduces too much noise. Under the circumstances, you’ve done an exceptional job at processing.
