Without even zooming in you've managed to resolve a sprinkling of stars around the glob!
Have a go at stacking 50 images and you might find that you'll have captured a couple of nearby galaxies as well as OC.
Do you use the timer function when you take the photos? I set my camera at 2 seconds just to stop the wobbles when I press the shutter.
Sorry, but I cannot claim any credit for this method of photography, it's common practice.
But it works a treat eh. Who would have thought that you could get half decent astro piccies out of a compact camera?
Another freebie program to download is NeatImage, it really helps smooth out any noise in the picture.
