Just short update on operation of DVR2000 Meteor video capture project. In 31 nights of operation 96 meteors has been captured. Using 8mm F1.2 lens the sky coverage is about 28 x 22 degrees. Lot of nights were partially cloudy so capture rate is bit low.
I finally got waterproof camera housing and fitted LDR relay in it so camera switches automatically on when night comes and off during the daylight. Soon the camera will be permanently mounted on the roof of garden shed facing northwest at about 50 degrees elevation. Included is AVI of brightest meteor so far captured, brightest star in the picture is Spica 0.95 magnitude.
