A pash in the Moonlight - celebrating the blue moon

Tonight I actually got permission to go and take some photo's of the Pasha Bulker, knowing they cancelled the tow off tonight, I thought I would try to get some happy snappys at night of the ship in plight!.

This also coincided with the Saturn Venus conjunction, and a Blue Moon. What a treat. And for the first time in 5 weeks its not raining..............a beautiful windy clear night. It was a balmy 14 degrees but with that strong westerly it felt more like 4 or 5.

my Venus Saturn shot is blurred, but that's what you get when you perch the camera on the roof of the car and hope for the best - taken from Scott Alders place.

The rest of the shots were taken from the ocean baths at Newcastle, near the cowrie hole......

They are an ordinary effort, but given the stiff breeze they are not too bad. But man the lineup of ships out there is amazing......
