Firewire cable length up to 160m!

I guess this could be good for those with completely automated scope setups etc, and can sit inside while the scope does its stuff outside..

Normally, the length of a FireWire cable may not exceed 4.5 m. Today, we are proud to present two measures that allow this restriction to be overcome.

(1) New cables allow a maximum length of 10 m:

(2) Using repeaters, we are able to easily connect up to 16 cables:

Therefore, it is possible to bridge distances of up to 160 m, while maintaining the full bandwidth of 400 MBit/s.
